What are the incentives for my child to improve? We have an established grading system which is done on a quarterly basis in the lower grades and every eight months in higher grades (subject to ability at point in time). There will also be regular incentives/goals i.e. “Most Improved Student”.

Will my child reach black sash level? No as a Junior there are 8 grading levels taking them to junior purple sash, when they reach this level and integrate into the adult class age 14 their grade will be reassessed, and will be replaced with a grade appropriate to there ability to interact into the senior classes.

Will my child get injured? We take every possible precaution to prevent injury, but as your child becomes more experienced he/she may work with other students therefore contact may occur. All classes are closely monitored. In the event of any injury we always have first aid kit and a trained first-aider in every class and you will be informed immediately. (please ensure we have your mobile/contact number on the childs membership form).

Can I attend and watch the class? Yes we actively encourage it. Although if you leave your child we will take every precaution to maintain their safety, we always have at least two adults per class.

i am worried about my daughter being in an all male environment? It is our intention to try to always have a male and female in attendance of the class at all times.

My son/daughter has illness/disabilities is this a problem? Allowances will be made for any illness/disabilities this will not inhibit progress of the student

Do you only teach physical skills? Will my child deal with situations with violence? We always teach to build confidence and the ability to identify confrontations as well as de-escalation skills. This way violence is a last resort. We have much experience in this field, as a company we teach conflict resolution skills for the government and corporate agencies.
